The cover picture illustrates the current development in the field of LCA: Since the 80’s, SETAC has become the most outstanding discussion and development platform. The SETAC-LCA Guideline “A Code of Practice” is the LCA “Bible” and the basis for the international work in ISO performed in the standardization of LCA methods (see pp. 2 – 10).
The ISO standards 14040 to 14043 are in the process of nearly being finished. They will be published in 1997 and 1998.
