können mit verschiedenen Instrumenten analysiert und
bewertet werden. Tabelle 1 zeigt eine Zusammenfassung der
wichtigsten Kriterien für die Beurteilung und Auswahl verschiedener
Umweltanalyseinstrumente. Eine ideale Methode gibt es
dabei nicht. Vielmehr muss im vorhinein abgeklärt werden, welches
Ziel die Untersuchung hat, was untersucht werden soll und
für welche Zielgruppe die Ergebnisse bestimmt sind. Im Artikel
von Jungbluth & Frischknecht (2001) wird hierzu eine Entscheidungshilfe
mit den wichtigsten Vor- und Nachteilen verschiedener
Methoden gezeigt.

Nutrition is an important reason for environmental
impacts caused by today consumption patterns. But, how can
these impacts best be analysed and which implications has this
analysis for different actors in the necessity field of food
consumption? This article focuses on strength and weaknesses
of different methodologies that can be used in order to study the
environmental impacts of food consumption. The paper starts
with a review of important methodologies. The analysis gives
an introduction about the principles of investigation, it declares
the environmental interventions accounted for and the type of
indicators used. An example for an application in a case study is
shown for each methodology. The data availability in the field
of food consumption is assessed. The description concludes with
a discussion of the main strengths and weaknesses of each
methodology. The different methodologies are compared and it
is discussed for which type of question they can be used. A detailed
description of methodologies can be found in Jungbluth & Frischknecht
(2001).
