| Curriculum vitae: | Eloisa E. C. Garcia is Food Engineer with M.Sc. in Food Technology – Packaging Area by Campinas State University – UNICAMP. She has been working as a Packaging Specialist at CETEA – Packaging Technology Center of ITAL – Food Technology Institute since 1983 and as Technical Manager of the Plastic Packaging and Environment Groups of CETEA since 1993.
She has been involved in research and technical assistance to private companies in plastic packaging performance evaluation, with emphasis on migration, permeation, shelf life studies and mechanical properties. Regarding the environment area she has been involved in Life Cycle Assessment studies of packaging materials and packaged goods.
She has published more than 17 scientific and technical papers at national and international journals and she is co-author of more than 26 books in the food and plastic packaging area.
