He finished his master thesis on life cycle assessment of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) for combined production of heat and electricity in 2000. Then he began a master in environmental sciences working at the same time as a research engineer in the Laboratory of industrial chemistry.
He works mainly in the field of life cycle assessment as a consultant for companies and public authorities. Since 2004 he is also assistant at the University of Liège and he guides students achieving their master thesis on life cycle assessment.
He is particularly interested in water and waste management and also in hydrogen and fuel cells.
