Benders (1956) is presently researcher at The Center for Energy and Environmental Studies (IVEM) at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He has been a staff member at IVEM since 1993 and has become the modelling expert of the IVEM. Last years the research he is involved in, focus on Energy analysis and household energy consumption issues. He is responsible for the EAP software. EAP is a model, based on a hybrid method (process and input-output analysis), with which the energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in the whole lifecycle of household expenditures can be calculated. He participates in a project among 350 households in which these households are induced to reduce their energy consumption through direct feedback on their actual consumption. He was also involved in project in which a manual and software is developed for the second generation of agreements concerning energy reduction between government and Dutch industry. In this agreement one has chosen for a broader point of view: reduction of energy can be realized in the whole production chain (MJA-2). | | Areas of interest: | | | Articles: | 11 LCA (6) 417-424 (2006), Feasibility of Applying Site-dependent Impact Assessment of Acidification in LCA (8 pp)
