He started his career as a project manager at Samsung Electronics (Korea), where he implemented several LCA projects on home appliances. He was a member of ISO/TC207/SC5 advisory committee in the Korean National Institute of Technology & Quality and also a member of technical committee at LCA Center, Korean Accreditation Board [KAB]. From 1998 to 2001 he worked as a visiting scientist at North Carolina State University (USA), developing life cycle inventory information for chemicals. He joined Michigan State University (USA) in 2001.
His research focuses on evaluating the environmental performance of agriculture practices and of biobased industrial products through LCA.
On 26 March 2003 he joined the Editorial Board of ´The International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment´ (Int J LCA). | | Areas of interest: | | biofuels | | bioenergy | | chemical engineering | | biobased industrial products through LCA | | agriculture practices, performance of | | |
