Jovančićević was born in Užice (Serbia) in 15.04.1962. He finished B.Sc. study in Chemistry in 1985 at the Belgrade University. M.Sc. and Ph.D in Chemistry he finished at the same University in 1989 and 1993. Finally, post doctor study at the Federal Institute of Geosciences and Natural Resources in Hannover (Germany) in 2000.
Dr Jovančićević has worked as a full professor at the Department of chemistry, University of Belgrade (Industrial Chemistry and Organic Geochemistry objects).
Fields of investigations: organic geochemistry and environmental chemistry (organic type pollutants). He is the associate editor of Environmental Chemistry Letters (official journal of the European Association of Chemistry and Environment).
