Curriculum vitae:Concepción Jiménez-González studied Chemical and Industrial Engineering at the Chihuahua Institute of Technology, México. She holds a diploma in Environmental Technology & Management and an M. Sc. in Environmental Engineering from ITESM; Monterrey, México. She received her Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University; Raleigh NC, USA. Following the Spanish tradition, she is also known as Conchita.

She worked at the Environmental Quality Center and the Department of Chemical Engineering of ITESM (México) as program coordinator and full-time researcher and professor. She has been active in the fields of integration of life cycle inventory and assessment (LCI/A) into design tools and processes, pollution prevention, sustainable manufacturing, and integrating environmental and chemical engineering concepts.

Currently, she is Director of EHS New Product Support at the Corporate Environment, Health and Safety department of GlaxoSmithKline (Research Triangle Park, NC, USA), working on sustainable development programs such as green technology, green chemistry, LCI/A, and EHS support to new products.
