Curriculum vitae:Studies of material science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) with focus on metals and polymers. Master thesis on ´High refractive index nano-composites of iron sulphides and poly(ethylene oxide)´ in 1994.

1995-1999 R&D engineer for solar energy systems in a SME producing components for solar energy systems.

Since 1999 at EMPA working in material related LCA projects and in the field of sustainable buildings. Responsible for metals, wood and building materials in ecoinvent.

Since 2004 Head of unit Life Cycle Assessment at EMPA and work on a PhD on integration of traffic noise in generic LCA.
