Her PhD started with a research fellowship to the Spanish National Institute for Agriculture, Food Research and Technology (INIA), dealing with the development of new ecotoxicological methods for higher ecological risk assessment.
Those methods focused on both off line ecotoxicological assessments of field samples and multi-species tests on aquatic invertebrates using laboratory water/sediment systems.
After her student period, she has continued working at the INIA in the areas of risk assessment of existing chemicals, classification and labelling of substances and standardization of ecotoxicological test guidelines. | | Areas of interest: | | | Articles: | 5 JSS (1) 53-58 (2005), Evaluation of a Multi-species Test System for Assessing Acute and Chronic Toxicity of Sediments and Water to Aquatic Invertebrates: Effects of Pentachlorophenol on Daphnia magna and Chironomus prasinus (6 pp)
