Ph.D. subject: Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) of products with focus on chemicals.
Beside his interest and experience in LCIA and risk assessment he has done research within integrated environmental assessment of industries, especially printing and textile industries and their products including the use of substitution. Furthermore he has experience in pointing out and prioritizing areas of intervention for cleaner technology based on scoring systems (hazard assessments) of industrial chemicals and key figures for processes (BAT). These parts of his research have mainly been done during his employment at DHI (formerly The Water Quality Institute, Hørsholm, Denmark) in1992 - 2000.
Main focus of research: Life cycle impact assessment; selection methods and ecotoxicity impact indicators. | | Areas of interest: | | LCIA impact assessment of toxic releases | | OMNIITOX | | LCA | | LCA and ecotoxicology | | LCA, simplified/screening/streamlining | | REACH | | ecotoxicity, LCIA | | |
