Leiterin der Arbeitsgruppe Ökotoxikologie im Institut für Fischereiökologie an der Bundesforschungsanstalt für Fischerei in Hamburg.
Erfahrungen mit chemischer Analytik persistenter organischer Schadstoffe, Umweltmonitoring, Proteinanalytik, Zellkultur, Sedimenttoxizität, Biomarker und in vitro Biotests. Darüber hinaus Mitarbeit an einer Reihe von interdisziplinären Forschungsprojekten zu diesen Themen seit 1988.
