Curriculum vitae:For more than 25 years, Dr. Thomas Höfer works in the field of regulatory toxicology. He has become an expert in health and environmental effects of chemicals and maritime transport. He works in a state institute advising inter alia the German Federal Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection and is a member of a German expert group on the evaluation of water pollutants as well as an United Nations expert group on the evaluation of marine pollutants transported by ships. He published a number of articles in this field including a series on the environmental effects of tankships on the marine environment in ESPR.
