1989 - 1991: Postdoctoral research at the former Sandoz (now: Novartis) Research Institute in Vienna in the field of molecular biology/human immunology.
1991-2002: Scientific Officer at the Austrian Federal Environment Agency, Department of General Ecology and Nature Protection in Vienna.
