Göran Finnveden is professor and head of the division of Environmental Strategies research - fms at the Department of Urban Planning and Environment at the Schoold of Architecture and the Built Environment at KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology.
Finnveden has worked with LCA and related tools since 1990, first at IVL (Swedish Environmental Research Institute) and then from 1996 at fms. He was active in the Nordic LCA-project financed by the Nordic Council of Ministers and one of the key authors of the Nordic Guidelines on LCA. He has been active in international cooperations including SETAC working groups where he for example chaired the working group on weighting methods for LCA.
He is also a member of the International Expert Group on LCA and Integrated Solid Waste Management. Finnveden is a member of the editorial boards of the International Journal of LCA, the Journal of Cleaner Production and Progress in Industrial Ecology.
