Since Mai 1992:
Member of the scientific-technical staff of the Federal Environmental Agency in Berlin in the departments: ´Environmentally compatible techniques and products in the chemical and mineral oil industry´ and ´National and International Chemicals Safety´

RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE FEDERAL ENVIRONMENTAL AGENCY:
- Best available techniques in chloro-organic and inorganic chemical industries,
- BREFs for the inorganic industry connected to the IPPC-directive
- General reduction of atmospheric organic substances emissions (VOCs)
- General reduction of environmental impacts of POPs

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1993 - 1996: General national legislation for waste gas reduction
Development of a classification scheme for different emission standards of organic substances

1992 - 1998: Member of the technical working groups for the preparation of the UNECE – protocol for reduction of the environmental impact of POPs

Author of the Annex V ´Best available techniques to control emissions of persistent organic pollutants from major stationary sources´ of this protocol

Since 1998: Member of the Technical working group for the BREFs referring the inorganic chemical production according the IPPC-directive:
- Large volume liquid and gaseous inorganic chemicals,
- Large volume solid inorganic chemicals,
- Inorganic specialities

Since 2000: responsible for reductions of unintentional releases of POPs according to the Stockholm Convention
