Kristina Voigt graduated in food chemistry and received her PhD in chemometrics. She has more than 25 years experience in the field of environmental and health risk assessment of chemical substances, starting at the German Environmental Protection Agency in Berlin and continuing at the GSF- National Research Centre for Environment and Health in Neuherberg, German the research focusing on the topic of data-availability, data analysis of environmental chemicals in general and pharmaceuticals in particular y. She is interested in mathematical and statistical methods for the evaluation of environmental chemicals and data-sources. A special emphasis is set on the ranking and decision support method, called Hasse Diagram Technique which has its origin in discrete mathematics.
Kristina is hence working in the fields of environmental informatics, environmental statistics, environmental modeling and environmental information science, as well as chemo informatics and chemometrics.
She has published extensively in chemical, environmental and mathematically and computer scientifically oriented international journals e.g. in Analytical & Bioanalytical Chemistry, Chemosphere, Environmetrics, Journal of Environmental Modelling & Software, MATCH-Communications in Mathematical and in Computer Chemistry, Online Information Review, Toxicology, UWSF- Umweltwissenschaften und Schadstoff-Forschung, etc.
Kristina is a member of the editorial board of the following journals: Environmental Science and Pollution Research (ESPR), Environmental Modelling & Software, and Online Information Review. Furthermore she has several leading positions in societies, Secretary of TIES - The International Environmetrics Society, iEMSs Board of Directors, the International Environmental Modelling and Software Society, Deputy Spokeswoman of the Special Interest Group \"Informatics in Environmental Protection\" in the German Society for Informatics, deputy head of the initiative Women in Science at the GSF- National Research Centre for Environment and Health.
