Curriculum vitae:Bogus?aw Buszewski has a MSc from the Faculty of Chemistry, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, Lublin (Poland), a PhD from the Polymer Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and Slovak Technical University, Bratislava (Czechoslovakia), and a DSc awarded by the Slovak Technical University, Bratislava (Slovakia).

Dr. Buszewski is Professor and Head of the Department of Environmental Chemistry & Ecoanalytics, Faculty of Chemistry, Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruñ (Poland). He has been Humboldt Fellow at the University of Tübingen (Germany) and visiting professor at several universities in the USA, in Japan, the UK, South Africa, the Netherlands, and in Taiwan.

Prof. Buszewski is the chairman of the Central European Group for Separation Sciences (CEGSS), member of the Steering Committee of the Division for Chemistry and the Environment of the Federation of European Chemical Societies (FECS DCE) and of the European Association of Separation Sciences (EASS). He serves as a member of the Committee of Analytical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences as well as of the editorial boards of 14 national and international journals.

He has authored or co-authored 9 books, numerous patents, lectures and more than 250 scientific papers. He supervised 16 PhD and DSc thesis.

His scientific interests embrace environmental analysis, chromatography and related techniques (HPLC, SPE, GC, CZE), spectroscopy, stationary phases and columns, surface characterization, adsorption, sample preparation, field analysis, utilization of waste and sludge and chemometrics including molecular modeling.

Since April 2003, Prof. Buszewski belongs to the ESPR-Editorial Board.
