Curriculum vitae:Dr. Erwan Saouter holds a PhD thesis from the University of Bordeaux, France, on the ecotoxicology of mercury compounds (speciation, bioaccumulation).

From 1991 to 1993, research associate at the US Environmental Protection Agency (Gulf-Breeze), he worked on mercury bioremediation projects (Oak-Ridge, Everglades, etc).

Since 1994 he joined the European Technical Center of the Procter & Gamble Company in Brussels in the environmental science department to work on risk assessment of detergent chemicals.

In 1998 he joined the corporate science department to work on life cycle assessment of detergent products.

Since 2001, E. Saouter is in charge of External Relation for Western Europe, located in Geneva, working on environmental communication.

He has published more than 34 scientific and technical articles for major scientific journals. He is active member of several industry task forces (ECETOC, AISE, ERASM, CEFIC, etc) and participated at National and European research programs in the field of ERA of detergent, LCA and EU climate change program.
