He holds a PhD in botany from the University of Munich and habilitated in Applied Systems Science (Dept. of Mathematics and Computer Science) at the University of Osnabrück, Germany.
His major research interests are chemodynamics and environmental modeling, with a focus on river systems and vegetation.
Stefan Trapp belongs to the Editorial Board of ´JSS - Journal of Soils and Sediments´ and to ´UWSF - Z Umweltchem Ökotox´.
