Tolle is a Senior Research Scientist in the International Technology Assessment Group at Battelle Memorial Institute. Mr. Tolle has led or participated in research projects to develop and demonstrate Battelle's Life Cycle Profile screening system, life-cycle impact assessment, and life-cycle design methodologies for assessments of processes, products, and packages. Mr. Tolle has developed and published a methodology for life cycle impact assessment and a life cycle, pollution prevention factors technique for lithographic printing. Mr. Tolle was the Principal Investigator for a benchmark, life cycle assessment of a sheet fed printing system using soy-based ink.
